Bristol Airport has increased the price of its closest parking options for people dropping off and picking up passengers, with higher tariffs now in place for the ‘Drop Off & Pick Up’ and ‘Short Stay’ car parks.

The airport said the changes took effect on Monday 5 January 2026. A 10-minute stay in the ‘Drop Off & Pick Up’ car park has risen from £7 to £8.50, while the ‘Short Stay’ car park has increased from £7 to £8.50 for 15 minutes and from £9 to £10.50 for 15–30 minutes. The minibus and over-height car park has also risen to £8.50 for five minutes and £10.50 for five to 20 minutes.

Bristol Airport linked the increase to a jump in its business rates bill, saying it will more than double after the most recent budget and become its biggest non-operational cost. The airport said it had not taken the decision lightly and that some costs would be passed on to consumers, while it continues work on customer-facing developments and its plan for net zero operations by 2030.

Alongside the price rise, the airport emphasised alternatives for drivers. It said there is a free option at the waiting zone for up to one hour, with a free shuttle bus every 15 minutes to the terminal from the adjacent car rental facility, and that it will shortly double the capacity of the waiting area.

The airport also pointed to recent and upcoming public transport changes, including a £60 million Public Transport Interchange opened in July 2025 and plans to roll out 21 new electric buses in the new year. It said a new daily coach route to and from Plymouth is due to start on Monday 12 January, and flagged future “special rate” group tickets for its Flyer services in 2026.
